This setting allows you to specify which domain URLs and email addresses you use to communicate with your guests, and which can be shared with your guests on various OTAs.
OTAs Settings
Booking.com
Before you can access the settings on booking.com, you’ll need to complete two-factor authentication first. This is an added security step to protect you. Here’s how you can access the settings:
- Sign in to the Extranet
- Click Property, then Messaging preferences
- Click Security settings
- Complete two-factor authentication
If you’re having trouble signing in to the Extranet, see this article.
Email Addresses Setting
This setting allows you to specify which email addresses you use to communicate with your guests via Booking.com's messaging platform. Any messages sent from unregistered email addresses won’t reach your guests.
Here’s how to specify email addresses that can reach your guests:
- Sign in to the Extranet
- Click Property, then Messaging preferences
- Click Security settings
- Complete two-factor authentication
- Click Add an email address and enter either an email domain (e.g. @example.com) or an email address (e.g. example@example.com) which you have configured in your Email Sending Domain
- To add more email addresses or domains, click +
- Click Add email address
- Click the toggle button for Block all email communication to the Off setting
- To apply the same settings to all properties in your account, click Apply to all properties
- Check the approved email addresses and click Apply to all properties in the pop-up
- Changes will then be applied across all properties
Keep in mind that if you enter an email domain, all email addresses using that domain will be allowed. For example, if you enter @example.com, any email address using this domain (e.g. info@example.com, help@example.com) will be able to message your guests.
Domain URLs setting
This setting allows you to specify which links can be shared with your guests via Booking.com's messaging platform. For example, you might choose to add your property’s website address and a link to KAI's Subdomain (e.g. hotelname.gokai.co). These links will appear in the Your approved links section.
Once enabled, any links you haven’t added will be removed from your messages. Your guests won’t be able to click them and instead will see [Link was removed].
Here’s how to specify which links can reach your guests:
- Sign in to the Extranet
- Click Property, then Messaging preferences
- Click Security settings
- Complete two-factor authentication
- Click Add a link and enter the subdomain URL (e.g. hotelname.gokai.co), which you have configured in the Subdomain Configuration
- To add more links, click +
- Click Add domain
- Click the toggle button for Block all links to the Off setting
- To apply the same settings to all properties in your account, click Apply to all properties
- Check the approved email addresses and click Apply to all properties in the pop-up
- Changes will then be applied across all properties
